What lessons do the prophets teach the kings? The anointing of Saul as the first king, by the prophet Samuel, is a foreshadowing of the baptism of the Spirit poured out on the Early Church. It shows us that Christ's kingdom is not meant to be ruled by man, but by the Holy Spirit.
