Lead PastorPastor Heath was born in the south and raised in southeast Missouri, were he met his wife Beth at a local church as a teenager. In college, Pastor Heath radically encountered God and felt the call to full-time ministry. Leaving his pursuit of Psychology, Pastor Heath & Beth married and he became Ordained with the Assemblies of God. He served as a Young Adult and Associate Pastor in Columbia, Missouri before becoming Sanctuary’s pastor in January of 2014. Beth is a full-time mom and Physical Therapist at a local nursing home. Pastor Heath holds a MA in Biblical Studies and a Certificate in Crisis Counseling. He serves in various roles such as the President of the LaSalle Ministerial Alliance, director of the LaSalle Parish Celebrate Recovery, an Associate Presbyter within the Louisiana Assemblies of God, and has taught annually for the Louisiana School of Ministry and Caribbean School of Theology.
Heath and Beth have two daughters, Arianna and Atalee. They love the outdoors, the beach, museums, theme parks, board games, a good movie, and spending time with friends and family.
Bradley and Heather are Jena natives. Bradley and his wife Heather have attended Sanctuary since January 2022 and after being baptized, taking the Connect Course and volunteering, Bradley sensed a call for ministry on his life. Bradley in enrolled at Global University’s Berean School of the Bible and is working to complete his ministerial certification and interns with Pastor Heath weekly.
Ms. Evelyn Thompson is a pioneer of the Assemblies of God in Central Louisiana. She and her husband Pat planted and pastored a thriving church decades ago before his passing and two of her sons became Lead Pastors. Her son Eddie pastored Sanctuary for seven years, before his passing in 2013. Now retired and Ordained with the Assemblies of God, she serves in various areas preaching, teaching Bible studies, and ministering to those in need.

Michelle is a long-time member of Sanctuary and officially joined our team in January 2023. She loves being mom to Gabrielle, helping people, being thrifty, hosting events, and she enjoys raising her two dogs.
Stacey has served Sanctuary for over a decade as worship leader and church secretary. She transitioned to part-time bookkeeper in 2020 and continues to serve as a part of Sanctuary’s worship team. She loves being mom to Gabby and David and spending time Wayne and the kids at their full-size “tree house” in the woods.
